How does the Canny Collar work?
The Canny Collar uses a gentle pressure and release technique to train your dog not to pull. The behind-the-head design keeps your dog's head, neck, and body straight when they pull, preventing their head from twisting.
When your dog pulls, she feels mild, even pressure across the bridge of her nose. As soon as she stops pulling and the lead loosens, the pressure is released.
This helps your dog learn that walking calmly beside you on a loose lead is more comfortable. Praise or treats can be used to positively reinforce good walking behaviour.
Is the Canny Collar suitable for large dogs?
The Canny Collar is available in seven sizes for small to large dogs, with neck sizes up to 58cm. For dogs with a neck measurement over 58cm, including many giant breeds, choose the heavier-duty Canny Colossus. Measure your dog's neck before ordering to ensure you select the correct size.
Is the Canny Collar right for my dog?
The Canny Collar is designed for dogs that pull on the lead and is available in seven sizes for most breeds. It is particularly useful where you need greater control while teaching loose-lead walking.
Because a headcollar needs sufficient muzzle length to sit securely, it may not be suitable for very flat-faced breeds such as Pugs or French Bulldogs.
For dogs with a neck measurement over 58cm, choose the Canny Colossus.

Care guide
Cleaning: To clean, rinse your Canny Collar with fresh water to remove dirt, mud, or saltwater.
For stubborn grime, use mild soap or pet-safe detergent with a soft cloth or sponge.
Drying: Pat dry with a clean towel or leave to air dry.
Storage: Store your collar in a dry place to keep it looking and performing its best.
Tips: Regularly check the noseband for signs of chewing if your dog has ever accidentally got it into his mouth. Check the buckle and stitching to ensure everything is intact and performing as it should.

We ship to almost all countries within Europe from our base in Spain using a range of standard and tracked services including Correos (Spain), UPS and InPost. All offer tracking options.
Orders outside Europe

Despatch times
Orders received before our 12:00pm 'cut off time' will be despatched the same day and orders received after 12:00pm will be despatched the following working day. Orders received after 12:00pm Friday and over the weekend will be despatched at the first available opportunity which will be the following Monday.
Delivery times
In general, please allow 2-5 business days for delivery once your order has been shipped, depending on the shipping method chosen. Please note that unforeseen events such as poor weather or transport disruption can impact delivery times. Check our website for the most up to date information.
Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered or on the date of first attempted delivery by us.
Incorrect address
If the delivery address is not entered correctly by the customer, orders may be returned to us automatically. CannyCo EU will not be responsible for the length of time it takes for the product to be returned, nor the cost of resending the item to the correct address, which will be re-invoiced to the customer before despatch.

Returns and refunds
We want to make sure that you love our products and that they make training your dog easy and fun. If you wish to return your order for any reason, please notify us within 14 days of receipt. We allow 30 days for orders to be returned.
Items to be exchanged may be subject to a restocking fee. Items must be in unused condition, clean, and free of pet hair/smell, with the original tag. Items requiring cleaning or removal of pet hair will be charged a 4€ cleaning fee per item. Items that are worn, chewed, or damaged will not be accepted for return.

Shipping charges
Shipping charges for all exchanges and refunds are the responsibility of the customer. Additional charges may apply if replacement items are priced higher than the original. For Canny Collars, please ensure you have ordered the correct size before use (see the page 'What Size Canny Collar') as the customer will be responsible for meeting the postage costs of any returns for an exchange of sizes. We will not be able to accept returns that are not fit for resale.
So that we can process your return more quickly, please enclose a printout of your e-mail receipt. Return the goods to us using this form and please write 'returned item' on the package. If you have any queries regarding returns or refunds, please contact us using the details below.

What if I order the wrong size Canny Collar?
No problem. Providing you purchased the collar from our European website and return it to us within 14 days in a new and resaleable condition, we will exchange it for you. Simply return your collar to us along with a printout of this form and we'll do the rest.
How do the sizings work on the Canny Collar?
Since dogs, like humans, come in all shapes and sizes, it’s important to measure your dog's neck snugly to ensure you have the correct size Canny Collar. As your dog's neck can sometimes be hard to measure accurately (especially if there is a lot of fur), we have designed the Canny Collar so that each size overlaps with the sizes above and below, so there is some flexibility when choosing your size.
Once you have your collar fitted, it's advisable to test first in your garden or house to ensure it cannot come off over her head.
What if my dog is exactly between two sizes?
If your dog is exactly borderline between two sizes, we generally recommend getting the smaller size of the two options. If you have a puppy however, it may be worth waiting a month or so and buying the larger size.

Behind-the-head design for greater control
Unlike many headcollars where the lead attaches beneath the chin, the Canny Collar attaches behind your dog's head. This applies lead pressure straight back rather than pulling the head sideways.
The design also helps prevent the noseband riding up towards your dog's eyes and makes it much more difficult for your dog to get a paw over the lead and pull the noseband off.
Comfortable for your dog
The Canny Collar has a generously padded collar and a soft, single noseband that self-adjusts to the shape of your dog's muzzle.
With the lead loose, your dog can open their mouth freely to breathe, pant and drink. There are no complicated straps around the face and the collar fastens around the neck like a conventional dog collar.
Easy to fit and use
Simply fasten the collar around your dog's neck, attach your lead to both D-rings and place the noseband over the muzzle.
The Canny Collar is available in seven sizes for neck measurements from 23–58cm, with four colours to choose from. For dogs with a neck measurement over 58cm, the heavier-duty Canny Colossus is available for giant breeds.
From headcollar to regular collar
The removable noseband makes it easy to transition your dog towards walking on a conventional collar and lead as their loose-lead walking improves.
For off-lead exercise, remove the noseband from your dog's muzzle and secure it beneath the chin using the supplied carabiners. This allows the Canny Collar to remain comfortably in place while your dog is off lead.
The Canny Collar is designed to be worn when walking, training and when your dog is let off lead temporarily. It is not a substitute for your dog’s regular collar. Never attach your lead to the carabiners.
